The journey of the Tensho embassy can still be found in the records of academies in the Vatican, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. This concert features an introduction of that journey through recreations of Mancio Ito's clothing and slides alongside a reconstructed performance of the music they played and by the composers they met. It also includes a votive performance of a Gregorian chant that is a prayer passed down entirely through the oral tradition for approximately 450 years on Ikitsuki Island in Hirado, Nagasaki.
